This exhibition is an "anthology of journeys" to reconsider these questions, using the journeys of others as clues. The introduction will be a trip to Europe 100 years ago by Asakamiya and his wife, who greatly influenced the architecture of the main building of the Teien Art Museum, using artifacts and documents to depict their travels in the 1920s. This will be followed by a private collector's journey to collect railroad documents and works by contemporary artists in the former Asakamiya residence, which will be presented in an installation that makes the most of the architectural space. The stories behind each journey are no longer just for the traveler but are waiting to be shared with the viewer, the recipient, and experienced in the imagination.
