Ammon Kyoto is pleased to announce a solo exhibition of Kyoto-born photographer Keiichi Tahara starting August 5, 2022.
This exhibition will be divided into two parts under the theme of "playing with light."
Following the torso series in the first part of the exhibition, which is on view until July 31, the second part of the exhibition will focus on the Polaroid series.
Mr. Tahara aspired to become a photographer in Europe after witnessing the sharp light of that region, which is different from that of Japan. The subject of his photographs is not the light illuminating the subject but the light itself highlighted by the subject.
We hope you can directly experience the beauty and power of "light" that Keiichi Tahara has been pursuing throughout his life.
