The exhibition will focus on the museum's collection of 20th century Western prints, including works by Edvard Munch, who influenced modern Japanese prints, Emil Orlik, whose works come from the period when the West first encountered Japanese printmaking, Pablo Picasso's masterpieces, Henri Matisse's cutout stencil works, and studios and artists that had an impact on postwar American art. The exhibition introduces various aspects of modern printmaking, including collaborative work, and considers the meaning of modernity through prints.

*Some of the works will be alternated on May 23.
