The fifth “Labyrinthine Nightmare" exhibition will feature Shoko Kitamoto, who has been participating since the second exhibition, and Nao Ikuma, who is participating for the first time. Both have completed the same master's program in printmaking at Tama Art University, and Ikuma is Kitamoto's senior.
This exhibition explores the dark side of human nature. Nao Ikuma stimulates the viewer's imagination with her black-and-white world of etchings using dense lines, revealing a bottomless terror. Shoko Kitamoto uses characters that at first glance appear lovable, but at the same time invite the viewer into an eerie world that is the opposite of what is expected.
