Realm of the Marvelous and Uncannyー Phantoms and Beasts

Kochi Prefectural Museum of History
Finished
This exhibition is part of the traveling exhibition "Realm of the Marvelous and Uncanny", which was previously held at the National Museum of Ethnology. Before the modern era, in Europe and the Middle East, mysterious but possibly real creatures and phenomena such as mermaids and unicorns were considered "wonders" and part of natural history knowledge. The Kochi exhibition will introduce dragons, birds, giants, and other mysterious creatures created by people from all over the world.
