A retrospective exhibition of Seison Maeda will be presented at the Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu. In this exhibition, the monumental masterpiece "The Roman Emissary" will be exhibited for the first time in 40 years in the artist's hometown alongside other works by the artist. Also included will be a selection of small works he painted for fun in response to commissions. Over 100 works from Maeda Seison's early to late years will provide an overview of this rare master of Japanese-style painting.
