The exhibition features Seison Maeda, who worked on a wide range of subjects including historical paintings, flower-and-bird paintings, and landscapes; Ikuo Hirayama, who studied under Maeda; and his last student, Takashi Oyama. "Ieyasu of Sekigahara”, painted when Maeda was 57 years old, will be introduced as new work from the museum collection, and a special exhibition will include Maeda's "Yanagi Sakura" and "Battle Won" from the Sagawa Art Museum collection. The exhibition will also include the artist's "Willow Cherry Blossoms" and "Battle Won. Also on view will be representative works of Hirayama's art, such as "Xizang Potalacu (Tibetan Palace)" and "Moonlight Desert," as well as Oyama's "Suruga Kakegai," “Amanohashidate," and "Notre Dame Cathedral," all of which have recently joined the collection, to show the dignity and aesthetic sense passed down from Seison to his two students.
