Skwat/Twelvebooks
Skwat and Twelvebooks have created a temporary space at Cibone. The Japanese word “tsundoku” means reading pile and describes the pleasure of buying books and piling them up unread with the intent to read them later – or never. The term carries no negative connotation. Building piles around the house that form “bookscapes” – oddly shaped book sculptures – lets you create delightful, incidental new side tables. Pull out a book, read a couple of pages or find a reference, and put it back to be covered by another book and possibly rediscovered again.

The creative collective Skwat and the bookseller Twelvebooks have brought their own tsundoku piles to the Cibone store. These piles contain a range of literature from antique books to new issues, many of them usually not for sale and solely available for this limited period.
