We are pleased to announce Taichiro Takamatsu's exhibition at Void+ from April 15th.
This exhibition aims to reconsider the theme of "obeying".
Takamatsu started making artworks with fashion pieces in high school and become a professional tailor in London, where he moved to study. After that he worked as a tailor at fashion houses in Paris, Milan and London, and was also trained as a craftsman.
In this exhibition we will present works with silk fabrics woven by Matsui Silk Weaving, as well as patterns by Daigo Adachi, a fabric-dyeing artist and associate professor at Tohoku University of Art & Design, silk dyed for 16 months by Naoya Kato, sculptures by the glass artist Ryuhei Nadatani and collaborations wth Kishieri.
