Nakagawa-machi Bato Hiroshige Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Hiroshige Utagawa, Kuniyoshi Utagawa et al.
Ukiyo-e prints were colorful printed materials that even the common people could enjoy, but the techniques used in publishing were extremely advanced even compared to those of various foreign countries at the time. By focusing on the variety of color materials such as safflower and Prussian blue, as well as the craftsmen’s skills such as intricate engraving and printing techniques, this exhibition closes in on the hidden charms of the ukiyo-e woodblock print.
