This exhibition features the Taro Okamoto Award-winning work "Iron Tea Room" (2013) by Tomohiro Kato, an artist who uses iron to explore the relationship between material and society. This work is an iron tea ceremony room, in which a full-scale replica of a "dekoroge-zadoko" (two-mat wooden floor) grass-roofed booth has been made. The simple appearance of the room has a touch of "sabi," the essence of the tea ceremony, and a set of tea utensils made of iron sits inside the room.
