Black Angels is the masterpiece of manga artist Shinji Hiramatsu. This radical and powerful tale of good and evil, in which the unique and appealing characters, overflowing with kindness and humanism, gloriously bring to justice the unjust, the rogues and outcasts, became a huge hit when it was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1981, selling a total of 8 million copies and becoming a milestone in the punishment manga genre.
In this exhibition, approximately 25 works of "Mansho," a fusion of "manga" and "calligraphy," will be exhibited and sold, combining the delicate and beautiful illustrations of these fascinating characters with powerful brush strokes that convey a message from the heart. During the exhibition, an autograph signing event will be held for the first 15 visitors who purchase a manga work to have Hiramatsu draw an illustration in his own handwriting.
