Nara Prefecture Complex of Man’yo Culture is pleased to present a special exhibition featuring the works of Kason Sugioka (1913-2012), a leading expert in Japanese calligraphy. The year 2023 will mark the 110th anniversary of his birth, and this exhibition will take this occasion to introduce the world of Manyo poetry through his calligraphy and paintings. Rare materials from the Nara Prefecture Complex of Man’yo Culture collection are also on display.
