The Twelve Kingdoms", an otherworldly fantasy novel written by Fuyumi Ono, began in 1991 with the publication of "The Demon Child". Akihiro Yamada, whose beautiful illustrations have been used for more than 30 years to decorate the magnificent world of "The Twelve Kingdoms", will hold an exhibition of his illustrations.

This exhibition, the first of its kind in Tohoku, will feature over 150 original drawings and illustrations from the "Shincho Bunko" edition "Complete Edition" of "The Twelve Kingdoms" Art Collection "The Second Collection" Seiyo no Kyoku," published in September 2022, as well as illustrations from the "Kodansha X Bunko White Heart" edition, and newly created works for merchandise and events. In addition, rough drawings will be exhibited for the first time, tracing the 30-year history of the "Twelve Kingdoms" series.
