Fuutalow Katsumi
As the second installment of "Art Clip 2022," an exhibition introducing local artists and artwork from the museum's collection, the Nyuzenmachi Shimoyama Art Forest Power Plant Art Museum will feature Futaro Katsumi.

Born in 1998 in Takaoka City, Futaro Katsumi had his first solo exhibition at the Aoi Memorial Museum of Art (Takaoka City) in 2016 while a student in the design and painting department of Takaoka Kogei High School, and held group and solo exhibitions in Osaka after entering the character design department of Osaka University of Arts. In 2021, he won the Bande dessinée section prize at the International Manga School Contest and is a promising young manga artist.

This time, he will create an installation on the mezzanine floor of the museum under the theme “night." Currently working as a cartoonist, he will express his thoughts and feelings about the phenomenon of "night," which he has been developing for about 10 years, using unusual techniques and media such as writing, modeling, and music. He feels that "night" gently envelopes and resets the difficulties of living in modern society. This exhibition will allow visitors to relive emotion and peace of mind.
