The Yamagata Biennale 2024, now in its 6th edition, will be held from September 1 to 16, 2024. With the concept of "restoring physical and mental health through art experiences in a hot spring area," this year's theme is "Singing the Song of Life." The festival will feature a diverse range of artists including visual artists, poets, songwriters, designers, dancers, ikebana artists, restorers, and architects. It will take place at Zao Onsen and Tohoku University of Art and Design in Yamagata City and will include exhibitions, performances, events, and workshops in four different projects, offering a hands-on art experience for visitors.
