Japan is known for its love of art, with many museums and a high number of visitors to exhibitions, ranking among the top in the world. However, when it comes to displaying art in their rooms, why do some feel somewhat hesitant? Art doesn't only belong to the pieces displayed in lavish frames with guards standing nearby. Some artwork can be displayed gently, fitting snugly into the cherished corners of people's homes, and they are abundantly available.
The print artwork introduced in this exhibition is one of those approachable forms of art. Each one is sized to fit easily into a single-person home, and they are packed with the artist's skill and unique worldview. These meticulously printed artworks allow each person to fully appreciate the individuality of each artist and can greatly enrich the impression of their usual room.
This exhibition proposes a lifestyle that appreciates art. A variety of works from 13 artists, including new works from both the first and second halves of the exhibition will be on display.
