The printmaker from Suzaka, Asaji Kobayashi (1898-1939), was also a lover and collector of folk toys. In 1935, he opened a folk toy shop called "Kinomiya," and in 1937, he joined the Japan Folk Toy Association. This exhibition will feature prints depicting folk toys, focusing on "Shinano Folk Toy Print Collection" and "Hokuriku Folk Toy Collection," which were produced as special features in the print magazine "Han Geijutsu" edited and published by Kumahta Ryoji.
