Artists

Atsuki Fujimoto
Atsuki Fujimoto, who graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts Graduate School in 2021, is currently active mainly in the Kansai region. Using images as a guide, Fujimoto layers linen and cotton fabrics that he has dyed, occasionally cutting and lifting them to create a physically three-dimensional painted space with a sense of depth, much like bringing actual flowers to bloom. Drawing inspiration from plants and flowers, he focuses on capturing the texture and presence of the landscape, including the sensations and nuances of wind, air, and sunlight, to evoke a re-experience akin to being in a meadow or a flower field for the viewer.

For this exhibition, the theme revolves around creating a calm scene where time flows gently during moments of enjoying reading. Fujimoto will present new works depicting flowers in vases. Imagine the atmosphere of a room transforming with various flowers, creating a warm and vibrant ambiance.
