Ball Gag
Ball Gag is an artist currently enrolled in the Master's Program in Advanced Art Expression at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. They contemplate how humans interact with the technology of the internet and the reactionary principles that emerge from the thoughts and cultures produced by it. Their works, which tackle both the end of contemporary society and the future, span various mediums such as drawing, photography, video, zine, and installation.
In the culture of the internet, there is a common concept known as "〇〇 core" used to represent groups with similar interests. In this exhibition, a collection curated by a fictional collector will be displayed, prompting an examination of the transformation and facets of aesthetic consciousness born in the world of the internet.
