Mikagyota, Tsune. Mayumi Komatsu
This exhibition features the work of two artists with fresh sensibilities- Mikagyota, who paints botanical illustrations in watercolor, and Mayumi Komatsu, who creates silver accessories under the name Tsune.
Komatsu, under the brand name Tsune, is a silver accessory artist. She aims to create pieces that bring joy when worn and seamlessly blend into everyday life. Her creations are all simple yet moderately decorative. They feature delicate designs, such as small berry motifs, classic relief patterns, and understated beauty, making them highly attractive. This will be her second exhibition at Luft+alt, following last year’s successful show.
Mikagyota’s watercolor botanical illustrations, drawn from the perspective of a former florist, exquisitely depict subtle hues, leaf veins, nodes, and wrinkles, capturing the beauty of nature. Mikagyota's sensitivity to seasonal changes is evident in every corner of her work, evoking a sense of refreshment and renewal. While the previous exhibition was held in early spring, this second one will showcase original artworks characteristic of early summer.
