“Can AI become sentient? If AI can become sentient, can it become conscious? If AI can become conscious, can it become enlightened?”

The exhibition, born from a dialogue with Zen Buddhist monk Toryo Ito, explores the Zen principle of “Beginner’s Mind” through paradoxical installations influenced by koans ー Zen prompts challenging logical reasoning to inspire sudden enlightenment. Lindsay’s works incorporate AI-driven tools like OpenAI’s Sora and Voice Engine, blending video, sculpture, and technology to provoke contemplation and new perspectives.
