Christiane Perrochon, a Swiss ceramic artist based in Tuscany, Italy. Since Galerie Wa2 first introduced her work to Japan in 2000, the gallery has continued to hold regular exhibitions of her creations. From her studio perched atop the Tuscan hills, she overlooks a landscape that transforms constantly with shifting light and color. Captivated by these subtle changes in nature, Christiane has developed her own glazes through unique formulations. Among them, the delicate pink glaze she created—born from her deep affection for Japan’s cherry blossoms—is affectionately known as “Perrochon Pink,” enchanting many admirers. Up to now, Galerie Wa2 has mainly showcased her “Shell” series, known for its thin, airy forms reminiscent of seashells. However, this exhibition focuses on works that highlight the depth and fluctuation of her glazes. Now in her eighties, Christiane continues to work with undiminished creative passion, constantly exploring new modes of expression. Her works embody a singular harmony between a sensibility refined over time and a quiet, enduring fervor—making them truly one of a kind.
