・Buzan Kimura's Suma Goten Cedar Panels
The luxurious mansion built by industrialist and politician Uchida Shinya (1880-1971, currently from Yukata City) in Suma, Kobe, was also known as Suma Goten. The Suma Goten Cedar Panels exhibited were painted by Japanese painter Buzan Kimura (1876-1942, currently from Kasama City) to decorate this mansion. Although the Suma Goten suffered significant damage from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the cedar panels miraculously escaped damage, preserving the splendor of its former glory. The valuable set of 25 cedar panels (44 pieces) will be showcased.
