The latest picture book by Aki Kondo, the original creator of "Rilakkuma," is titled "Yumeginko," and it is set in a shop run by a penguin named Penpen that deals with "dreams." The items sold there are various dreams turned into candy. The dream world experienced by Penpen in the interactions with customers who come to buy candy and those who come to sell their dreams is expressed with delicate colors and gentle words. In addition to creating picture books, she is also active as a character designer, having created beloved characters such as "Rilakkuma," "Mofy the Rabbit" (broadcast in over 30 countries and regions worldwide), "Uu to War," "Ofuton-san," and more, which are loved by many people across generations.

This exhibition, commemorating Aki Kondo's 20th anniversary as an author, will introduce a wide range of her work from her debut "Kikara Orita Mikan" (Mikanboya) to her latest work "Yumeginko."
