Bokusen Shimada
Shimada Bokusen, "Kakuzen Musei" (Empty Space Without Saint), 1931, exhibited at the 12th Imperial Exhibition. It is based on the story of Bodhidharma, who brought Zen from India to China during the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, and Emperor Wu of Liang.
