CURATION⇄FAIR Kyoto takes place within the historic grounds of Daihonzan Myokenji Temple. Rather than responding to market trends, the fair encourages a deeper appreciation of artistic context and aesthetic value through the presentation of carefully selected works in an architectural setting rich with historical resonance, inspiring visitors to collect through meaningful engagement and understanding. Accompanied by guiding texts written by art critic Minoru Shimizu, visitors are encouraged to consider the curatorial intent behind each gallery's presentation, inviting new perspectives on the experience of encountering and collecting art. In addition, a concurrent exhibition featuring contemporary craft will be held at Shōsei-en Garden, a nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty, offering visitors the opportunity to appreciate Japan’s traditional architecture and garden landscapes alongside the artworks.
