Play! museum is pleased to present an exhibition of Daisuke Tsutsumi, director of Tonko House, an animation studio based in Berkeley, California. The studio debuted with "The Dam Keeper" (2014), a short film that received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film.
On October 21, 2022, Daisuke Tsutsumi directed his first animated Netflix original film, "Oni: Thunder God's Tale." Based on the theme of "Oni," or demons, the four-episode 3DCG animation film features humorous young yokai and gods living in a forest.
This exhibition is a new entertainment experience in which visitors can experience the animated film through a series of installations, which combine images, words, sound, and light with folklore materials.
