Disney Cats & Dogs Exhibition

Onomichi City Museum of Art
Finished
Walt Disney, known for his deep love of dogs, spent his entire life from childhood to his later years with dogs as part of his family. In Disney's animations, numerous charming dog and cat characters appear. They play significant roles as main characters or memorable sidekicks, displaying gestures and expressions that are adorable and endearing.

From Pluto, Mickey's sidekick, embodying the fun of Disney's early gag animations, to the romance of Lady and the Tramp in "Lady and the Tramp" (1955), the thrilling escape from Cruella in "101 Dalmatians" (1961), and the beauty of Paris and the cuteness of Marie in "The Aristocats" (1970), each showcases unique aspects of Disney's storytelling.

This exhibition, with full cooperation from the Animation Research Library, which houses materials related to all Disney animation productions, will present over 300 digitally preserved art pieces.
