Easteast is a platform for introducing artists and art galleries based in Tokyo and Japan to the world and promoting cultural exchange among participants.

Easteast aims to create a "cultural ecosystem" where the market economy and culture/art interact fairly through the collaboration of the next generation of artists and their collaborators: gallerists, curators, critics, viewers, collectors, patrons, corporations, and other art players.

Easteast will be relaunched in 2020 with a major renewal of the art fair “Easteast_Tokyo". The first edition of “Easteast_Tokyo 2023" will focus on approximately 25 galleries, mainly based in Tokyo. In addition to art exhibits and sales and the introduction of art projects by the exhibiting galleries, there will be video, sound, and live performances, discussions, viewing tours, and a food and beverage lineup. In addition, off-site programs will include video exhibits on the streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku, music programs in clubs and live houses, and other comprehensive presentations that allow visitors to experience the values of Tokyo's cultural scene and artist community.

The team that manages Easteast is a loose-knit group consisting of artists, gallerists, and other art industry professionals, as well as creators and businesspeople active in design, music, publishing, advertising, and other fields that have contact with art. Through the creation of art events, the team members share their awareness of the issues they face in the Japanese art and creative scene through their unique transnational network, and through repeated dialogues, work together with artists, creators, public institutions, and corporations to create art events.
