The Nagoya City Art Museum is widely known for its collections of "Ecole de Paris," a collective name for artists who gathered in Paris from all over the world to create art, especially in the 1920s, and "Mexican Renaissance," an art movement that developed in Mexico during the post-revolutionary revival period from the 1920s to the 1930s.

This exhibition features works from the Nagoya City Art Museum's collection, including works by artists representing the "Ecole de Paris" such as Modigliani, Chagall, Utrillo, and Tsuguharu Foujita, as well as work by Diego Rivera, a master of the "Mexican Renaissance," and Jose Guadalupe Porro, famous for his satirical prints of skeletons.
