Artists

Émile Gallé
Émile Gallé (1846–1904), a master of the Art Nouveau decorative style that flourished at the end of the 19th century, was an artist who worked across a wide range of fields, including glass, ceramics, and woodwork. He once said, "Our roots lie deep within the forest." Deeply influenced by Japanese aesthetics, Gallé expressed profound spirituality through natural motifs like flowers and insects, and is credited with elevating glassmaking to the level of fine art. Enjoy an encounter with Gallé's passion for beauty at this museum nestled in a nature-rich cultural forest.
