Gucci Ancora Pop-up Gallery

This spring, Gucci launched its first collection (Spring/Summer 2024 Women's Collection) under the creative direction of Sabato de Sarno, ushering in a new chapter. The collection, previously announced as "Gucci Ancora" in September last year, aims to reignite the allure of fashion by continuously bringing love, along with the message, "Ancora - let's fall in love with fashion again, more deeply."

To mark the launch of this collection, Gucci is organizing events in major cities worldwide where visitors can experience the essence of Gucci Ancora. From February to March, captivating takeovers and activations will be rolled out in cities like New York and Shanghai. Each city will serve as an immersive canvas where the vision of Gucci Ancora comes to life through effectively curated and staged experiences.

As part of these efforts, a special Gucci Ancora event was held on March 1st (Friday) at the National Stadium in Tokyo. Furthermore, from March 2nd (Saturday) to March 7th (Thursday), a "Gucci Ancora Pop-Up Gallery" has been set up on Cat Street in Omotesando, offering visitors the opportunity to freely experience the world of Gucci Ancora.

At this gallery, featuring Sabato de Sarno's Spring/Summer 2024 collection on multi-screens, visitors can experience the dialogue between fashion and art that Gucci explores through its book series "Gucci Prospettive" and interactive VR (virtual reality) content. An original drink is available at the café stand. During the same period, limited edition Gucci Ancora postcards featuring visuals from the 2024 Spring/Summer advertising campaign are being distributed at this gallery and selected art spots in Tokyo.

The Gucci Ancora special event transformed exclusive spaces like the indoor training track and the entrance of the National Stadium with the Rosso Ancora color, symbolizing Gucci's new chapter, into an immersive stage and lounge for one night only. Amidst the presence of luxurious guests including Jun Shison, Gucci's global brand ambassador, special performances by globally renowned actor and artist Rina Sawayama and Shinichi Osawa (Mondo Grosso / Rhyme So) were showcased, inviting guests into a creative world where music, fashion, and art intersect. These moments of emotion and sensation embody the essence of Sabato de Sarno's vision for Gucci Ancora, weaving together the joys, passions, humanity, and irresistible charm of the Gucci brand.
