The General Incorporated Association Haps supports young artists in Kyoto through the online gallery "Haps Kyoto" on "Oil by Bijutsu Techo," and hosts the "Haps Kyoto Selection" exhibition series. The fifth installment features Yui Kuroki's exhibition "Drawing Lines on Earth: Palestine/Israel," opening at the Haps office on September 21, 2024. Kuroki's work, responding to the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas and the Israeli invasion, draws a line for each death in Palestine and Israel up to September 20, 2024. This aims to connect us to those lives lost and raise awareness of the ongoing tragedy.
