The Doll Festival, originating in the Heian period (794-1185) and later becoming an annual event during the Edo period (1603-1868), is held to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of young girls. At the Kamakura Kokuhoukan Museum, a notable collection of hina dolls, predominantly from the Edo period, showcases various doll styles. This exhibition, aligning with the Peach Festival on March 3rd, will feature charming hina dolls brimming with wishes.
