Artists

Hiro Sugiyama
This time, the Roof Museum will hold the solo exhibition "Sculpture" by artist Hiro Sugiyama.

Hiro Sugiyama, while presenting works at fine art exhibitions both domestically and internationally, has also curated various exhibitions. In recent years, he has been creating the "Black Painting" series, which depicts the "space" between abstraction and figuration by silhouette-izing historical paintings in black and adding relief to the silhouettes to reduce abstraction while moving from representational to abstract painting.

This exhibition, the second solo exhibition at this venue, will showcase approximately 40 new series works that began with an interest in African art sculpture. Enjoy the "forms" expressed in the monochrome painting space. Additionally, Hiro Sugiyama x Lurf Museum's original merchandise will be available for purchase at the venue and online store.
