We are pleased to announce an exhibition featuring two sculptors who travel and create their works around the world: Hiroyuki Asakawa from Gifu Prefecture, Japan, and Wu Ming-sheng from Taiwan.
Sculptors Hiroyuki Asakawa from Japan and Wu Ming-sheng from Taiwan use familiar stones such as marble and granite to create their work, but their pieces may leave a different impression compared to those found in textbooks or familiar public sculptures. Asakawa's works incorporate elements of play, with colorful marbles rolling along exquisitely curved circular forms that are complex yet orderly and beautiful. Wu's works are captivating with a combination of abstract and representational elements, conveying a tactile quality that makes you want to touch them.
