History of Mino Momoyama Pottery

Arakawa Toyozo Museum
Finished
The name Mino Momoyama Pottery was given during the Showa period (1926-1989) as a term to describe tea ceramics made in East Mino during the Oriho period. It is the most flamboyant pottery in the history of Mino ware, with the four basic colors of yellow, black, white, and green asserting themselves, and it is also characterized by unprecedentedly eccentric and innovative shapes and designs.
