Yuki Kikutake
This exhibition is a retirement commemoration for Yukio Kikutake, who taught at Tokyo Metropolitan University for 10 years. In Kikutake's laboratory (Visual Communication Design Studio), proposals for graphic design related to cities and spaces have been made and implemented in society. It was thought that by realizing proposals in a university setting, the significance of communication design could be concretely conveyed to future generations.

This exhibition showcases the various achievements of the laboratory, such as collaborative research with various local governments and the collaboration with Shibuya Station Area Management, which resulted in the design of temporary construction fences around Shibuya Station and large-scale vision motion graphics. Additionally, visitors will see 3D graphics displayed by synchronizing three holographic devices. Furthermore, Kikutake's graphics, imbued with heartfelt feelings for the theme of the exhibition "Hope for Tomorrow" in this unstable era, will also be exhibited.
