Just like arranging flowers, hanging a picture creates a new window to a fresh landscape.
Powerful drawings with rich, dynamic forms—animals, flowers, abstracts—these works stimulate the imagination simply by being present. Tegashima Art Gallery is featuring a solo exhibition by the painter Ichiro Yamaguchi, who, from his studio in Kagawa Prefecture, presents his work across Japan and internationally.
In recent years, Yamaguchi has garnered increasing attention, including illustrating the cover for "Kurashi no Techo." While there has always been a close affinity with Tegamisha, a proper exhibition connection had not yet been established. With the opening of Tegamisha's art gallery, this long-awaited solo exhibition has finally come to fruition. The theme is "decorate," reflecting the desire for people to hang these works in their rooms.
