Ikko Narahara
Photographer Ikko Narahara, a prominent figure in post-war Japanese photography, passed away at the age of 88 on January 19, 2020. In 2020, the Shimane Art Museum received a substantial donation of 305 pieces of Narahara's work from the artist's family, expanding its Ikko Narahara collection to become the world's largest with a total of 775 pieces. This exhibition will showcase approximately 100 new acquisitions, primarily highlighting Narahara's famous series "Where Time Has Vanished," created during the artist's stay in the United States.
