"Interference” is a group exhibition by four artists exploring perception through the sensation of light, vibration, waves, and other fluctuations that intervene in the body. The works by each of the four artists bring to light the minute scale of events that interfere with human bodies daily through gestures hidden in minimalist aesthetics, encouraging a perceptual meditation that brings the viewer deeper into contact with the senses and unconscious of the body, including the skin and organs.

"Interference" is also the title of a series by Shingo Francis (b. 1969, Santa Monica, CA) that uses light interference pigments. This butterfly scale-like material changes different color layers and expressions from different angles, and the artist has attempted to capture the natural world, and by extension, cosmic wavelengths, through its minute changes and color oscillations.

Susanna Fritscher (b. 1960, Vienna) fills the space with white rain-like threads, transmitting to the atmosphere the vibrations and heartbeats latent in the space. The sounds, transformed by the interference of the vibrations, will entice us into an auditory experience outside the sound range, tuning, canceling, beating, and accelerating into a periodic rhythm.

Bruno Botella (b. 1976, Sarcelles), in conversation with curator Karin Schlageter (b. 1988, Paris), will conceive a work that uses the tactile sensations of the gallery's hidden places to inspire our subconscious perception.

Aiko Miyanaga (b. 1974, Kyoto) will hold a tea ceremony that takes us out of the everyday and into the cosmos, inviting us to experience a transcendence of time and space through an online experience. The world that expands beyond the physical venue into the sea of space evokes an extended body that perceives a place far from the venue.

*Tea Party will be held several times during the exhibition period. Applications for participants will be accepted online. Details will be announced at a later date.
