Our lifestyles have changed dramatically since the pandemic. With limited mobility, we all spent most of our time in a "room." Life in a room was always accompanied by a sense of isolation from the outside world and, therefore, a sense of entrapment. On the other hand, the relationships with close friends and irreplaceable objects developed in enclosed spaces not only helped people to survive everyday life but were also essential for adding color to a life that lacked change.
This exhibition features artists from the 19th century to the present day whose work is characterized by room-related expressions and reexamines intimate memories and dreams. The diverse representations of rooms will form a new image in our minds affected by the stay-home experience.
