Izumi Kato

Izumi Kato has been exploring a unique painting style, incorporating enigmatic human figures. Since the 2000s, he began showcasing wooden sculptures and has consistently worked in painting and sculpture. In recent years, instead of carving stones, he has been painting directly onto natural stones and experimenting with stone casting to expand his creative horizons. Following his overseas debut of aluminum sculptures, this exhibition will feature his first presentation of large-scale aluminum sculptures in Japan.
