From November 28, 2025, LAID BUG will present a solo exhibition by Jack Tezam.
Jack Tezam, a native of France, has worked while moving between Paris and his birthplace in the Massif Central region of central-southern France. Since 2008, he has been a founding member of various artist collectives, including 4th dimension and Road Dogs, presenting works in a wide range of formats inspired by his many exploratory experiences. In February 2023, he held his solo exhibition “EXPÉRIENCE DISTORSION” at LAID BUG. From November 2025, he will relocate his base to Taipei (Taiwan) to continue his activities.
This exhibition at LAID BUG, his second there, features works centered on the Massif Central, a region dear to Jack. Fascinated by the mountainous terrain shaped by volcanic activity, Jack has visited repeatedly over nearly two decades, transforming these experiences into his work. At this major turning point—leaving his homeland to relocate to Taiwan, a new volcanic stronghold—Jack embarked on a final expedition with companions to the familiar volcanic terrain he had visited so many times before. The act of retracing his footsteps—in memory, in records, on-site, and above all in drawing—serves as a ritual to draw a line under past habits and move towards new places.
Titled “A PATH THROUGH THE LOOP,” the exhibition consists of photography, drawing, and installation. This exhibition also includes the participation of Yi Cheng Lee (Taiwan) and Vaisseau terre (France).
A limited-edition book, ALLTAR III, published in 2024 by a mysterious fellowship, documenting four months of communal life in the forest through photographs, texts, and drawings, will also be available.The limited-edition work AZIMUT BRUTAL, created specifically for this exhibition, will likewise be offered.
