Japanese Art Auction -MEGURU- Vol.25 preview

This 25th auction brings together works by renowned artists who have shaped the history of Japanese art, including Ito Jakuchu, Soga Shohaku, and Nagasawa Rosetsu, known for their eccentricity, as well as Yokoyama Taikan and Hishida Shunso, who laid the foundations for modern Japanese painting. The lineup also includes notable masterpieces, such as Kawase Hasui's final production, a cat by Foujita Tsuguharu, and Kataoka Tamako's iconic depiction of Mount Fuji. The auction will also feature Otsu-e, a style that flourished from the early to late Edo period, and Ito Shinsui, a representative Japanese painter from the Taisho to Showa periods.
The auction is free and open to everyone, both in person at the preview and online. We invite you to experience the MEGURU Auction and enjoy the diverse charms of Japanese art.
