Joji Nakamura
Joji Nakamura was born in 1974. In the early 2000s, he began creating collages, which he has since expanded into paintings and three-dimensional works. Influenced by punk music and street culture, which he has always favored, Nakamura's expression has been gradually expanding.

Nakamura's work is characterized by abstractly drawn, dynamic figures. This is reminiscent of Nakamura's sense of distance in communication with others and comfortable relationships with friends, as he has painted in a floating manner, not restricting himself to the realm of fine art, but also to underground venues.
Moving from the monotone paintings of his early years to color in recent years, Nakamura presents portraits in soft, blotchy colors and still lifes depicting vases of flowers. The improvised figures are either standing quietly or performing some kind of action. Combined with the shimmering backgrounds, they stimulate the viewer's imagination.

This exhibition will feature approximately 15 paintings. Nakamura says, "Painting is an individual work, but I feel pleasure in the fact that there are people beyond the painting." The title of this exhibition, "Another Moonlight," is named after the scene of people looking up at the moon. The scene is of people looking up at the total lunar eclipse, taking pictures, and thinking about it. Even though the object of the view is the same, what each person feels from it is different.
