Island, a photography book by Swedish photographer Julia Hetta, is set to launch on September 27, 2023. The book features a captivating cinematic project shot on Sweden's Fårö Island. Hetta's work, characterized by darkness and tension, aligns with the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, symbolizing fragility, transience, strength, and the rhythm of repeating waves. The exhibition is a celebratory event for the release of Hetta's book. Hetta and Hetta's friend, the renowned artist Åsa Stenerhag, will be visiting Japan as part of this occasion. The exhibition will feature a display of Stenerhag's iconic sculptural works alongside Hetta's photographs.
