Nanzuka Underground is pleased to announce "Wunderkammer," a solo exhibition of new works by Spanish artist Julio Anaya Cabanding. This is Cabanding's first large-scale solo exhibition at Jingumae Nanzuka Underground, following a small solo exhibition at Nanzuka 2G last year.
The title of this exhibition is translated as "Cabinet of curiosities," which features collections of notable objects. For this exhibition, Cabanding has created works that imitate dinosaur fossils, ancient Egyptian mummies, Picasso and Matisse, Van Gogh, Katsushika Hokusai, Warhol and Basquiat, and everything from sneakers to Astro Boy toys, and displayed them in a cabinet format.
