Kanzan Shimomura + Gahou Hashimoto Exhibition

Mizuno Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Kanzan Shimomura, Gahou Hashimoto et al.
Birds, cats, cows, sheep, lions, and dragons. The creatures depicted in Japanese paintings range from familiar animals to imaginary beings, and the list is endless. This exhibition gives visitors the chance to fully enjoy the "cute!" and "cool!" appearances of these various creatures. For example, the relaxed deer in Kanzan Shimomura's "Jusei" or the fierce confrontation between the dragon and tiger in Gahou Hashimoto's "Dragon and Tiger Picture (Sketch)," which is being unveiled for the first time in this exhibition.
